Terms of Service
Effective October 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Axiomancer Labs(“we”, “us”, “our”). They govern your use of www.axiomcodex.io and its pages, including /portal and /standards, the checkout and subscription service, and the delivery of license keys and dataset packages (together, the “Service”). By using the Service or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.
1. Your data rights and other documents
Your rights to use the licensed datasets are set by the Axiom Codex Commercial All-access License(the “Commercial License”) and by the upstream source licenses and notices shipped with each package. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. If these Terms and the Commercial License conflict about how you may use licensed data, the Commercial License controls. A separate written agreement signed by us (for example, an Enterprise agreement) controls over both to the extent it says so.
2. Eligibility
The Service is for businesses and for individuals who are at least 18 years old. You must be able to form a binding contract. If you accept these Terms on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it, and “you” means that organization.
3. Checkout, payment and tax
- Subscriptions are purchased through Stripe Checkout and paid by card. Stripe processes your payment; we never receive or store your full card number.
- The Commercial All-access plan is billed monthly ($299 per month) or annually ($2,990 per year), in US dollars, as you choose at checkout.
- Listed prices exclude tax. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated by Stripe from your address and added at checkout. Business buyers may add a tax ID to their invoices.
- Promotion codes, if offered, apply only as stated in the code’s own terms.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your subscription, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
4. Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, as chosen at checkout), and the payment method on file is charged the then-current price plus applicable tax, until you cancel. You can switch between monthly and annual billing in the Stripe customer portal.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time in the Stripe customer portal (sign in with the email address used at checkout), or by writing to support@axiomcodex.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and your access continues until then. When the subscription ends we send a confirmation email, and access under the subscription stops.
6. Refunds
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current billing period, which remains available to you until it ends.
7. License keys and package delivery
After payment we email a license key to the checkout email address. Keep your key confidential and do not share it outside your organization. That email does not contain a download link: packages are delivered on request when you reply to it. Packages are versioned, dated snapshots, and new releases follow as each dataset family is refreshed. The All-access plan covers the commercially licensed dataset families listed on the site; families may be added at no extra cost as they clear licensing. If an upstream license change, a legal requirement or a valid takedown request forces us to withdraw a family or records, we may do so, as described in the Commercial License.
8. Free Research tier and public samples
Public samples and research releases published on Hugging Face are governed by each dataset’s own license and dataset card. These Terms do not restrict rights that an upstream licensor grants you directly.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- interfere with, overload or probe the Service, or bypass its rate limits or security controls;
- attempt to obtain license keys, checkout sessions or information belonging to other customers;
- use the Service or any data obtained through it to identify, profile, track or contact individuals, or to make employment, credit, housing or insurance decisions about them;
- redistribute, resell or expose licensed data except as the Commercial License allows;
- suggest that Axiom Codex or any upstream data provider endorses you or your products;
- use the Service in violation of law, including export-control and sanctions laws.
10. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text and code, and the Axiom Codex name and marks, belong to Axiomancer Labs or its licensors. The Axiom Codex specifications, schemas and documentation in the public repository are licensed under CC-BY-4.0; that license does not cover the datasets. Upstream data remains subject to its own licenses and notices. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Stripe (payments, tax and the customer portal), Resend (email), Hugging Face (public samples), and the hosting, analytics, error-monitoring, video and support providers listed in our Privacy Policy. Their services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites linked from the Service.
12. Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in the Commercial License or a written agreement signed by us, the Service and all data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Datasets are normalized snapshots of public-record and third-party sources; statistical estimates are not verified individual outcomes. Datasets and site content are provided for information and analysis and are not financial or investment advice.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Axiomancer Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data, however caused, even if advised of their possibility. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or the Commercial License and do not cure the breach within 30 days after we notify you. We may suspend access immediately where needed to stop non-payment, abuse, a security threat or unlawful use. You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel as described in section 5. Sections 6, 10, 12, 13, 16 and 17 survive termination.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this page with its effective date. For material changes, we will email paying customers at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree to a change, you may cancel before it takes effect; continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply where you live are not affected.
17. General
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of the business. These Terms, the Commercial License and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service, unless a written agreement signed by us says otherwise.
